FAQs

Question

Are you accepting gifts?

Answer

Your presence and love are the only gifts we need! If you'd like to give, we encourage you to contribute to our fundraiser for Rainbow Railroad, a charitable organization that helps LGBTQI+ individuals around the world escape persecution and find refuge in safer countries. You can find the fundraiser by scrolling down to the Registry section on this page. Of course, if you would like to give a gift, we will happily and gratefully accept. ☺️

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes! Wine will be served during dinner, and there will be an open bar starting after the ceremony. Don't forget to bring your ID if you want to imbibe!

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony and dinner will be in an outdoor area covered by trees, while the dancing will be indoors. We expect the weather to be clear and in the 70s during the afternoon, and cool down to the mid-to-low 60s in the evening.

Question

What is the parking and transportation situation?

Answer

Deer Park Villa has its own parking lot. There will also be a shuttle leaving from Best Western Corte Madera Inn to Deer Park Villa at 3:00pm. The shuttle will run between the two locations as needed until 10:00pm.

Question

After party?

Answer

Yes! The reception at Deer Park Villa will end at 10:00pm. If you want to keep hanging out, the festivities will continue at Mac's at 19 Broadway (about 10 minutes away by foot).

Things To Do

If you're coming in from out of town, we hope you can take some time to enjoy northern California while you're here! Some suggestions are below, but please message us if you'd like more!

Muir Woods National Monument

Mill Valley, CA 94941

It's touristy, but one of the easiest and best ways to see redwoods. (Plus the drive up is really pretty.) Advance parking reservations required!

Wine Country

CA

Drive north of Fairfax to explore wineries, restaurants, and cute towns throughout Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley. (1.5-2 hours north from Fairfax)

Point Reyes National Seashore

Point Reyes Station, CA 94956

Drive up the 1 for some great views and hikes.

The Ferry Building in SF

1 Ferry Building, San Francisco, CA 94105

There's a great Saturday morning farmers market here, and we love the tacos at Cholita Linda. Also, check out the ferry that runs between the Sausalito and the Ferry Building.

Eat a cheeseburger

798 Redwood Hwy, Mill Valley, CA 94941

Californians get weirdly into In-N-Out. If you've never been and need a quick stop while you're visiting, it's worth it to try. Our take is that the burgers are great (and always consistent quality), the fries are... fine.
